Defect Summary

Temsa global sanayi ve ticaret a.s. (temsa) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 ts30 motorcoaches and 2007-2014 ts35c motorcoaches. the emergency roof labels do not have adequate instructions for exiting the bus in the event of an emergency. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 217, "bus emergency exits and window retention and release."

Safety Consequence

In the event of an emergency, passengers may spend extra time trying to get the roof exit open, increasing the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Temsa will notify owners, and dealers will replace the emergency exit labels on the roof exit, free of charge. The recall began on september 4, 2014. owners may contact ch bus sales, us agent for temsa, at 1-877-858-3672.
