Defect Summary

Kuat innovations llc ( kuat) is recalling certain pivot v3 swing-away hitch adapter with part numbers pv3d20b or pv3p20b. The hitch tube weld may crack, causing the cross beam to detach.

Safety Consequence

A detached cross beam can become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Kuat will replace the hitch adapter, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed november 1, 2026. Owners may contact kuat customer service at 1- 417-889-5820.
