Defect Summary

Blue bird bus company (blue bird) is recalling certain 2027 vision school buses. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.

Safety Consequence

An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed july 17. 2026. Owners may contact blue bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242.
