Defect Summary
Farber specialty vehicles (farber specialty) is recalling certain farber vehicles equipped with certain s-series and k-series wheelchair platform lifts. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. The electrical contactor may fail, preventing the controls from stopping the lift.
Safety Consequence
A wheelchair lift that continues to move while occupied increases the risk of injury.
Corrective Action
Farber specialty will work with ricon to correct the wiring by installing two diodes, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed october 1, 2026. Owners may contact farber customer service at 1-800-331-3188.
