Defect Summary

Newmar corporation (newmar) is recalling certain 2026 freedom aire motorhomes equipped with a thermaheat tank pad. The water tank heating pad may experience high resistance and fail.

Safety Consequence

A heating pad failure can increase the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

Dealers will install a new water tank heating pad, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed february 6, 2026. Owners may contact newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 622 rsb.
