Defect Summary

Forest river bus, llc (forest river bus) is recalling certain 2025-2026 trans tech school buses. The modified seating floor plan may exceed the the rear gross axle weight rating (gawr). As such these vehicles fail to comply with the federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 120, "wheels and rims - other than passenger cars."

Safety Consequence

Overloading the rear axle may cause loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will modify the seating free of charge and provide a refund for lost seating capacity as necessary. Owner notification letters were mailed february 17, 2026. Owners may contact forest river bus customer service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest river bus's number for this recall is 05-2015.
