Wheelchair restraint retractor may not lock
Defect Summary
International motors, llc (international) is recalling certain 2026-2027 ic bus cesb school buses. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
Safety Consequence
An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective Action
Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed february 16, 2026. Owners may contact international's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25526. Vehicle identification numbers (vins) involved in this recall will be searchable on nhtsa.gov beginning february 9, 2026.
