Defect Summary

International motors, llc (international) is recalling certain 2025-2026 ic bus cesb school buses. The parking brake can be released when the wheelchair platform lift is deployed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 403, "platform lift systems."

Safety Consequence

A bus that moves while the platform lift is in operation increases the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the dash electronic control unit (decu) module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed june 16, 2025. Owners may contact international customer service at 1-800-448-7825. international's number for this recall is 25506.
