Defect Summary

Vermeer manufacturing company (vermeer) is recalling certain 2015-2022 bc900xl brush chipper trailers. the service and maintenance manuals list the incorrect lug nut torque value.

Safety Consequence

Improperly tightened lug nuts can result in a loose or detached wheel, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Vermeer will provide a remedy kit with a new manual, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed july 11, 2024. owners may contact vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051, ext. 7060. vermeer's number for this recall is ik4561.
