Defect Summary
Morgan 3 wheeler limited (morgan) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 three-wheeled motorcycles manufactured between october 2012 and july 2013. The brake fluid reservoir does not have a brake fluid reservoir filling warning statement. thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirement of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) no. 122, "motorcycle brake systems."
Safety Consequence
The operator may not be warned of the brake fluid reservoir filling requirements, which may result in a reduction of brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Morgan will notify owners and dealers will apply a brake fluid reservoir filling warning label, free of charge. the manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. owners may contact morgan's us agent at 1-505-570-1845.
