Defect Summary
Winnebago industries, inc. (winnebago) is recalling certain 2027 arka recreational vehicles. The rear gross axle weight rating (gawr) and cold tire inflation listed on the federal placard is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 120, "wheels and rims - other than passenger cars."
Safety Consequence
An incorrect gawr and cold tire inflation combination can lead to unintentionally overloading the tires, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Winnebago will mail out corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed october 30, 2026. Owners may contact winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885.
