Defect Summary
Hexagon purus systems usa llc (hexagon purus) is recalling certain 2025-2026 tern rc8 vehicles. A software error may occur between the digital display cluster and the pressure sensors, causing the system to show the incorrect air brake pressure and falsely indicate a brake system failure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 121, "air brake systems."
Safety Consequence
A display that does not show accurate information may fail to alert the driver to an actual brake issue, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
