Defect Summary

Toyota motor engineering & manufacturing (toyota) is recalling certain side curtain air bag (csa) assemblies sold as replacement parts for 2014-2021 toyota tundra double cab and crewmax vehicles. The side curtain air bag may have been improperly rolled, causing an improper air bag deployment.

Safety Consequence

Improper air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect and replace the csa assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed september 13, 2026. Owners may contact toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26tk03 and 26th03.
