Defect Summary
Hale products inc (hale) is recalling certain weldon uv800 display unit user interfaces, with part numbers 610-00060-080-51, 610-00060-080-50, 610-00060-081, and 610-00091. The display may stop responding to touch commands or fail to power on, preventing the activation of exterior emergency lights, fire fighting and other emergency equipment.
Safety Consequence
A loss of exterior lights can reduce the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Inoperative equipment can delay emergency response, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective Action
Hale will update the firmware and install a monitor system, free of charge. Hale is expected to notify the affected vehicle manufacturers may 17, 2026. Owners may contact hale customer service at 1-800-533-3569. Hale's number for this recall is sb-189.
