Defect Summary

Webasto thermo & comfort na, inc (webasto) is recalling certain cv standard gen1 batteries part numbers 5613175, 5610618, and 5610610 that include samsung sdi co cell in a 2p configuration. The high voltage batteries may fail.

Safety Consequence

Battery failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Battery failure can also increase the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

Webasto will install a new software update, free of charge. Notification schedule has not yet been determined. Vehicle owners may contact their respective vehicle manufacturer's customer service phone number listed in each vehicle recall.
