Defect Summary
Britax child safety, inc. (britax) is recalling certain b-safe gen 2, b-safe gen 2 flexfit, b-safe gen 2 flexfit plus, b-safe 35, b-safe ultra, and endeavours child seats. Please refer to britax's recall report for the specific models. A screw in the child seat carrying handle may come loose, causing the handle to partially detach.
Safety Consequence
A child may fall after a partial detachment, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective Action
The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by october 19, 2026. Owners may contact britax customer service at 888-427-4829.
