Incorrect weight information on label/fmvss 120
Defect Summary
Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain 2025 melbourne, 2026 melbourne prestige, and entegra qwest recreational vehicles. The certification and occupant and cargo carrying capacity (occc) labels may list the incorrect gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr), gross axle weight rating (gawr), and gross combination weight rating (gcwr). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 120, “wheels and rims-other than passenger cars” and 49 cfr part 567, "certification."
Safety Consequence
Incorrect weight information may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Jayco will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed december 16, 2025. Owners may contact jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903644.
