Defect Summary

Forest river, inc. (forest river) is recalling certain 2021 xlr toy hauler travel trailers. The mounting brackets may be improperly located or secured, allowing the fresh water tank to detach when full.

Safety Consequence

A detached water thank can create a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect and add securements to the tank as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed november 12, 2025. Owners may contact forest river customer service at 1-574-642-0432. Forest river's number for this recall is 45-1997.
