Defect Summary

Vanguard national trailer corporation (vanguard) is recalling all 2021-2023 vxp 28-foot pup trailers. The pintle hook box assembly may crack or break, reducing the trailer's stability while being towed.

Safety Consequence

Trailer instability can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Vanguard will inspect and repair the pintle hook box assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed june 23, 2025. Owners may contact vanguard customer service at 1-888-253-3008.
