Incorrect load carrying capacity modification label/fmvss 110
Defect Summary
Truck certification services, inc (tcs) is recalling a certain roll-print version of the load carrying capacity (lcc) modification label, part number nte028a. The kilogram and pound units for the capacity of combined weight of occupants and cargo may be reversed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard number 110, "tire selection and rims."
Safety Consequence
An incorrect capacity information may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Tcs will provide owners with instructions on inspecting and installing corrected labels as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters was mailed october 23, 2025. Owners may contact tcs customer service at 1-248-489-7090.
