Navistar, inc. (navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2022 ic bus ce school buses. the weather seal of the illuminated stop sign unit may allow contaminants to enter into the unit, resulting in reduced performance. in certain cases, an electrical short may occur which would render the unit inoperable.

Corrective Action

Navistar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the led illuminated school bus signs, free of charge. the recall began december 15, 2020. owners may contact navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825.

Consequence Summary: If the sign performance is inhibited, or completely inoperable, it can reduce the visibility for oncoming drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
