Defect Summary
On certain horse trailers equipped with dexter axles, the disc brake caliper mounting bolts may strip. insufficient clamp load between caliper and yoke can cause the caliper to disassemble and adversely affect the trailers braking system.
Safety Consequence
Loss of braking can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
The owners of the trailer have been notified and arrangements have been made to repair the trailer.
