Defect Summary

Shyft group (shyft) is recalling certain 2024-2025 blue arc ba4l-800 vehicles. The mounting fasteners may loosen or detach, causing the steering gearbox to bind.

Safety Consequence

Binding in the gearbox can cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Shyft will replace the steering gearbox mounting bolts and washers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed february 23, 2026. Owners may contact shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 26-01.
