Defect Summary

Cummins, inc. (cummins) is recalling certain l9 diesel engines, part number d563027bx03. The remote fuel filter hoses may separate from the fitting, causing a fuel leak and an engine stall.

Safety Consequence

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the fuel hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed november 20, 2026. Owners may contact cummins customer service at 1-800-286-6467. Cummins number for this recall is c7311. Engines remedied under recalls 23e055, 24e038, or 25e004 will need to have the new redesigned parts installed.
