Defect Summary
Avride inc. (avride) is recalling certain automated driving systems (ads) equipped with software versions prior to rc-01-05. The ads software may direct the vehicle to change lanes, merge, or veer left or right without yielding or maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles.
Safety Consequence
Unexpected vehicle movement may increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Avride will update the ads software, free of charge. All affected ads-equipped fleet vehicles will be updated by august 31, 2026.
