Defect Summary

Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain grote replacement marker lights with part number 78513681. The center roof marker lights may fail to illuminate. As such, this equipment fails to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

Safety Consequence

Marker lights that fail to illuminate can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the center roof marker light, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed october 11, 2026. Owners may contact mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sc0499.
