Insufficient illumination from low beam headlights
Defect Summary
Daimler trucks north america, llc (dtna) is recalling certain aftermarket grote headlamps with part numbers a66-41940-000, a66-41940-001, a66-41940-002, and a66-41940-003. A software error may cause the low beam headlights to illuminate improperly.
Safety Consequence
Insufficient low beam headlight illumination can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning october 2, 2026. Owners may contact dtna customer service at 1-800-547-0712. Dtna's number for this recall is f1036.
