Defect Summary

K&n engineering, inc. (k&n) is recalling certain k&n and spectre replacement fuel filters with part numbers kn81-0300, kn81-0301, spe-2369, spe-2358, and spe-6932. The o-ring in the fuel filter may disintegrate, causing a leak.

Safety Consequence

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. In addition, pieces of the o-ring may clog the fuel lines, causing a loss of engine performance and increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until they replace the fuel filter. K&n will refund the purchase price, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed in july 28, 2026. Owners may contact k&n customer service at recallreturn@knfilters.com or 1-866-401-5660.
