Defect Summary

Hiab usa inc. (hiab) is recalling certain waltco mdv series liftgates. The deck pins may break, resulting in the liftgate platform falling.

Safety Consequence

A liftgate that falls unexpectedly increases the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Hiab will inspect the platform bushings and hydraulic systems and replace the deck pins, free of charge. Hiab will work with vehicle manufacturers to repair the vehicles. Owners may contact hiab customer service at (440) 601-8852.
