Defect Summary

Mercedes-benz usa, llc (mbusa) is recalling certain 2023 eqb 250, 2022-2023 eqb 300 4matic, and eqb 350 4matic vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.

Safety Consequence

A vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Owners are advised to only charge their vehicles to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the repair has been completed. vehicles previously repaired under recall 25v050 will need to be repaired again. Dealers will update the battery management system software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed february 6, 2026. Owners may contact mbusa customer service at 1-800-367-6372. Mbusa's number for this recall is 2025120005. Vehicle identification numbers (vins) involved in this recall will be searchable on nhtsa.gov on december 23, 2025.
