Defect Summary
Great dane trailers (great dane) is recalling certain 2024-2025 champion trailers. The cylinder pin in the slide liftgate may be insufficiently lubricated, which can cause the pin to seize, resulting in lift gate failure.
Safety Consequence
A lift gate that fails during operation increases the risk of injury.
Corrective Action
Great dane will work with hiab to replace the lift gate cylinder pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed january 28, 2026. Owners may contact great dane's customer service at 1-877-369-3493.
