Defect Summary

Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2022-2023 transit vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 23v-598. the rearview camera, or 360-degree view camera if equipped, may not display a rearview image when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

Safety Consequence

Loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will update the rearview camera software, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed may 23, 2025. ford's number for this recall is 25s38.
