Defect Summary

Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2024-2025 e-transit chassis cab vehicles. the tray side rails for the high voltage battery pack may buckle and crack, allowing water to enter the battery.

Safety Consequence

Water inside a high voltage battery can cause an electrical short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. dealers will inspect and replace, or repair the battery assembly as necessary, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed may 15, 2025. owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. ford's number for this recall is 25s36.
