Defect Summary

Motorcar parts of america, inc. (mpa) is recalling certain brake calipers with part numbers bc155111 and bc155110 sold as replacement parts for 2008-2025 ford e-450 super duty vehicles. The caliper piston bore wall may not meet the proper specification, causing the caliper to fracture.

Safety Consequence

A fractured brake caliper can cause loss of brake fluid and brake pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Mpa will work with and reimburse independent third-party installers who will inspect and replace the rear brake calipers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed march 24, 2026. Owners may contact mpa customer service at 1-833-758-0239.
