Defect Summary

Medix specialty vehicles, inc. (medix) is recalling certain phoenix quick liner wheel covers installed, with the clip-on feature, on medix ford type-iii ambulances. The wheel covers may detach during transit.

Safety Consequence

A detached cover can create a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Medix will replace the covers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed october 13, 2025. Owners may contact medix specialty vehicle customer service at 1-574-266-0911.
