Defect Summary
Proterra operation company, inc. (proterra) is recalling certain battery packs, model number s1-15, with part numbers 129-6202, 139-6181, and 163-3642. an insufficient connection in the battery pack may cause the battery management system to shut down unexpectedly.
Safety Consequence
An unexpected battery management system shut down can result in a sudden loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Proterra will replace the battery pack, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed november 26, 2022. owners may contact proterra's customer service at 1-864-438-0000.
