Defect Summary

Arcimoto inc. (arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2020 fuv motorcycles. the traction-power harnesses large-gauge cable-lugs may be improperly crimped.

Safety Consequence

Improperly crimped cable lugs can cause loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. in addition, it can also cause localized high heat and arcing, increasing the risk of fire.

Corrective Action

Arcimoto will notify owners and will replace the traction-power harnesses, free of charge. the recall began march 24, 2020. owners may contact arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.
