Corrective Action

Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear tailgate stays, free of charge. the recall began on november 18, 2016. owners may contact nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

Consequence Summary: Corrosion of one or both of the rear lift gate support stays could cause a sudden release of pressure. if this occurs, the support stays may break off, increasing the risk of injury.
